All Good Things
Well, folks, after a lot of quiet consideration, I've decided to stop writing this blog. I've been approved to write my own thesis next semester on the evolution of male customers in a Gentlemans' club, and I really need to keep my observations private for the purposes of that paper.
I have really enjoyed writing this, and I hope you all have enjoyed reading it. Thanks to all who gave me links and read my little stories about a titty bar in the south.
Take care, everyone, and I hope you all fulfill whatever your heart desires!
Love,
Waitress
P.S.: I'm in Arkansas
P.P.S: My name is Jennifer :)

Awww! :( I liked your blog. Good luck with your thesis!
Two thoughts immediately come to mind:
1) Sorry to see you go. Your blog has been tremendous fun to read.
2) Seriously? "The Evolution of Male Customers in Gentlemens' Clubs"? So the male customers have "evolved"? Could you give us just a very brief overview of what the thesis might be?
I'll miss you! It's been fun getting to know you through your blog. Good luck with school.
By the way...I had a feeling you were located in the Midwest, lol
Dear Jennifer,
Thanks so much for all your effort. I really enjoyed it. Keep well and good luck with ur life,
though I'm sure u will do fine and someday be able to show ur work to ur kids. Should make for another interesting blog.
David
We're going to miss you! Good luck on your thesis, and in life!!!
Take Care
:(
Jennifer--
I've really enjoyed your insights and your writing over the past several months. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with your thesis. Take care...
Bummer! This was my favorite blog. Have a good life and good luck with your thesis.
Jennifer, while I'm saddened by your decision to shut down this blog I completely understand why you feel you must do this. I just want to thank you for the great stories and wonderful writing.
Best of luck to you!
I enjoyed reading your insights.
Wow, I'll miss the blog, but good luck with it! and keep us posted, would love to know what else you end up doing.
I'm upset to hear such a thing. This is probably my favorite blog. :( Good luck to you, Miss Waitress.
I posted an "official" type goodbye on
my blog post
And I only just discovered your blog! Oh well. Good luck with your thesis!
Good luck on everything. I've enjoyed this blog very much and hate to see it go, but being a graduate student myself, I understand the pressures of education. Take care :)
Dear Anon:
An evolution paper in sociology is not an evolution paper (read: darwinism). Think evolution from one particular status to another; in this situation how an individual goes from being a stranger to a strip club to being a regular patron, and how they interact with their environment at each particular stage. Hope that clears it up for you.

I will miss your blog. Good Luck with the paper! Maybe consider posting that shen its done....
Sorry to see you go...I really enjoyed reading all of your posts, because we have a few customers in common, I'm sure. Anyway good luck w/ your thesis and school!
Hi Jenn,
I've really enjoyed your writing.
Thanks for your insights - your mixture of deep meaning and hilarity is something I'm going to miss! Your insights from 'the other side' were very interesting too.
(Would be interested in reading the paper if you ever release it - make sure you update the blog when its done!)
Thanks for all your words,
Anthony
I will miss your blog..
I've been quietly reading your blog for quite a while and have enjoyed it a lot. Your sense of humour and descriptive abilities made this blog one of the three or four I looked forward to reading new posts on. That being said I understand why you have to discontinue it.
Best of luck, Jennifer. Thanks for writing.
Wow! I guess all good things must come to an end. Thanks for making me laugh so many times when I needed it. I wish you the best of luck with your paper and finishing school; you deserve the best! Cheers!
Sad to see you go. Really enjoyed all the stories. Wish you all the best.
Good luck with your thesis, it sounds like an interesting one. I've quite enjoyed your entertaining stories.
Thank you Miss Jennifer of Arkansas.
Best of luck to you - it's been fun the read about your experiences!
Aw. We are going to miss you. I suppose it was inevitable, though, since you are too smart to be working in a strip club all your life. Those Master's degrees are tough (my wife has one), but I'm sure with some hard work your thesis will be great.
OK, I can deal with you dumping us. I'll be missing your stories from work, but I can understand that you need to devote a lot of time to finish up you degree and I wish you the best of luck with it.
Now, since nobody else has bothered to say it yet I will...thanks for the name and the location, but feel free to throw up a picture of yourself before you leave us all for good.
Honey, I worked in a strip bar 23 years ago. Dance for 5 years, and there ain't no no way in hell that men have evolved. They're still swinging from the trees. Good luck in all you do. Have very much enjoyed your writing.
Yea, what do you mean by evolution? Interesting concept. Please post your thesis when you finish!
It's in an earlier comment from me!
Take care,
Jenn
Good luck on your thesis! Your topic sounds fascinating! When you get it done, or if you need feedback on parts, please post on the blog! Some who read this have a strong background in this or related subjects as well (I have a master's in psych).
Don't let this die off! Yours has been one of the more interesting, well-written blogs I have come across in a while!
Bummer! Good luck :)
DAMN.... AT LEAST LEAVE YOUR BLOG UP... so that we can go back to the begining and read... (for those of us who haven't!) good luck, have fun and come back!
NOOOOOOO! Wait. Can't you just post every once in a while, but on other subjects?
Thanks for the explanation of "evolution". Good luck!
You were read from Montreal and Puerto Vallarta. Always fun to read you.
Good luck with everything Jen from Arkansas.
You will be missed. Yours was a blog I truly looked forwarded to seeing new post. I, as I may have said in a comment before, once dated a stripper, and your blog takes me back to that fascinating world that it was.
=( but it's all good things right. So congratulations and all the best

oh nooo I just started reading you blog :( but good luck...
Sorry to see you go...Damn, I thought for sure in my "anonymous but trying to guess anyway" way that you were from Colorado...
Sad to see it end but bueno suerte (good luck) with your paper! My BA thesis was bad enough, I can't even imagine a masters!
*Besos* from southern Florida!
That's a real shame, I've been enjoying your blog these past few months.
Good luck with your thesis! I know from experience that they're just a blast to write :)
Yeah -- what the other anon said. Leave us with a picture!
Thanks for the stories and good luck with your thesis~
I just had a feeling you were in ar and even the club you are at after reading some of the stories. I must be the only reader here?!? and some of those stories sound like a few people I know and worked with @ a nightclub some years back in LR...and you may even be one of them(but I think the jenn I knew that worked there danced too) one of the blogs you wrote about one of the managers taking someone out and it sounded soooo much like a guy with the initials B.M. and one of the dj's name starts with s? (not to give anyone up that doesn't want to) and I may have even once upon a time many years ago dated the owner of your fine establishment...hahahaha!!!
I do love your blog...and sure gonna miss it!!! I just thought sooo many things sounded too familiar but just assumed it was every titty bar!! lmao!!!
It's been interesting, but good luck with everything. I hope you at least keep this blog up, so that folks can at least read the archives.
Also, it's odd. I came closer to guessing your name (I was thinking something with a J) than guessing your state (I'd guessed Colorado).
Oh, and... if you do keep this blog up, then you probably don't want to be posting a picture of yourself anywhere on here. K
well i´ll definitely miss your stories...any chance you could come back after you finish your thesis?
Hi Jennifer, good luck with the thesis and your posts will be missed.
Good luck Jennifer and thanks for the read.
A time for everything. I am so glad I got to ride along with you for a little while. Congratulations on your thesis-to-be; I'm sure you will do justice (and then some) to your customers. :)
Good luck, on both your thesis and your future. I'm sure tons of people will miss reading the stuff you post. I sure am one of them.
Cheers,
The Drowmage (from the other side of the world)
Good luck, and you will be missed!!
Gasp!
Good Luck on the thesis work.
love,
Boyfriend's brother Matt
Great blog! I'll miss reading it. Good luck to you!

Take care. It's been a fun read.
Thank you for the laughs over the past year. <3
aww I actually got a lil teary eyed. Congratulations... Big congrats I wish you the best in everything you pursue.
awww, imma miss this blog alot! greetings from the dominican republic! hope ur thesis goes very well!
I'm bummed that you're not going to write anymore. I've sent many of my volunteers at Star Light Ministries to your blog to understand more of what it's like to work at a club.
Take care of yourself, stay safe, and good luck with the thesis.
Lia
I'm crushed.
Not because you're no longer going to regale us with some of the best service industry writing out there, some of the funniest stories of drunken debauchery, and the best soap opera on the internet.
I was just hoping you lived in Oregon.
Thanks, Jennifer!
I really enjoyed the blog.
I hope you don't have facebook or have the privacy settings set to be unsearchable.
Good luck with the Thesis.
Crap! And I just found you.
Awesome. I live in Jonesboro, Jenn! Arkansas breeds good writers...So long and thanks so much for the writing. We will miss you.
